To amend on an emergency basis, due to congressional review, An Act Authorizing the sale of certain real estate in the District of Columbia no longer required for public purposes to extend the time in which the Mayor may dispose of certain District-owned real property located at 1336 8th Street, N.W., and known for tax and assessment purposes as Lot 68 in Square 399.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this act may be cited as the "Extension of Time to Dispose of 8th [and] O Streets, N.W., Congressional Review Emergency Act of 2018".

Sec. 2. Section 1 of An Act Authorizing the sale of certain real estate in the District of Columbia no longer required for public purposes, approved August 5, 1939 (53 Stat. 1211; D.C. Official Code § 10-801), is amended by adding a new subsection (d-7) to read as follows:
"(d-7) Notwithstanding subsection (d) of this section, the time period within which the Mayor may dispose of District-owned real property located at 1336 8th Street, N.W., and known for tax and assessment purposes as Lot 68 in Square 399, for a mixed-use development providing for affordable housing, residential and market-rate housing, and retail, and any ancillary uses allowed under applicable law, pursuant to the 8th [and] O Streets, N.W., Disposition Approval Resolution of 2016, effective February 2, 2016 (Res. 21-374; 63 DCR 1498), is extended to February 2, 2020.".
Sec. 3. Fiscal impact statement.
The Council adopts the fiscal impact statement of the Chief Financial Officer as the fiscal impact statement required by section 4a of the General Legislative Procedures Act of 1975, approved October 16, 2006 (120 Stat. 2038; D.C. Official Code § 1-301.47a).
Sec. 4. Effective date.
This act shall take effect following approval by the Mayor (or in the event of veto by the Mayor, action by the Council to override the veto), and shall remain in effect for no longer than 90 days, as provided for emergency acts of the Council of the District of Columbia in section 412(a) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 788; D.C. Official Code § 1-204.12(a)), and publication in the District of Columbia Register.
