The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on July 7, 1992, and October 6, 1992, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on November 2, 1992, it was assigned Act No. 9-302 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 9-182 became effective on March 13, 1993.
